No.  "Trespassers will be Prosecuted" - very common sign in the
UK and completely pointless.

Your only remedy against a trespasser is civil - to sue for the damage or
nuisance they cause.  On your request, they SHOULD leave your land by the
shortest route.

The police will not act against trespassers.  You have to convince Her
Majesty's finest that there is likely to be a Breach of the Peace" if
he/she remains, and then they can take action.
