/because/ the setting in the OS to display the (final) extension was turned
off... that was stupidity of the greatest measure on M$' part to make that
default to off... as i've ranted in many places over the years, people need
to take more time to /learn/ and /educate/ rather than remain ignorant and
blame everything else other than themselves and their own ignorance...
