Thanks for sharing your story...I hope some of the others will share
theirs. Sometimes it is important just to be able to talk to others
about things and not have to explain every little detail...Know what I
mean? You also can relate and know that someone has been and is going
through the same things, it makes you feel "Not as alone".

I had Polio when I was 9 months old, in 1943. Some of the Drs. didn't
even know what it was then...They said from the damage that it had to be
Polio. It affected me from the waist down, mostly in my right leg. It
was 1/4 in shorter than the other. I was one of the lucky ones, I did
and have walked all these years. I have a limp but not bad..10 years ago
I thought I was losing my mind because I was having so many problems and
none of the Drs. had any idea what was going on. I finally went to the
Dallas Rehab. and was told that I had PPS. At least then I knew what was
happening to me and could deal with it...Us PPS'ers are a hearty lot and
don't give up easily. I am doing great, compared to a lot of the others.
I have to be careful and rest a lot and I just started giving in and
using pain pills. I just got a "Tems Unit" that does some pain blocking.
I haven't put to much info about it on the conf. yet as I am still
testing the results...I didn't want to say anything until I knew that it
would work. I guess I'd better stop for now and tell you more next time,
