Paul,

 PE> Dieter, are you listening?

I'm all ears.....

PE> the first time it happened it hung all of OS/2 (I know why
PE> now, because if you run a program which causes a trap,
PE> after running a DPMI program (or something like that), e.g.
PE> the borland linker, it hangs all of OS/2 :-() Needless to
PE> say, I'm not very happy, and might actually buy Windows NT

I can see why you are miffed about it all, after all OS/2 is
supposed to have this you-beaut crash protection system, and was
to be better than Win 3.1.

However, I'm still convinced that OS/2 is the way for me
personally, unlike the rest of the co that I work for, which seem
to be heavily into Windows, but they have their opinions, and I
have mine.

From what I can gather, you write applications for a living (call
that living ??), but I have the easier(?) part - I use
applications. You use compilers, I would not know a compiler if
it bit me on the backside !! C is a letter in the alphabet as far
as I'm concerned (that I hope to change soon !!)

Fundamental difference in the way we use our PC's Paul, and I'd
reckon you would have a problem no matter what platform you were
running - there is always a bug out there somewhere.....

Dieter
