I found out something very interesting about equine exclusivity around here
while we were waiting to see how Phoenix would react to her Banamine
injection.  I found out that if a vet is exclusively equine, the insurance
is sky high, versus being a large animal vet whose clientele is primarily
equine.  Apparently, the liability part of the insurance hinges on the
probability of a law suit.  How many cow owners are likely to sue over
losing their $700 steer?  It is far more likely that a rider with sue over
the loss of her $15,000 show horse.
