British gallons are bigger than Texas. Gallons, that is. It therefore
follows that British ten gallon hats are bigger than Texan ten gallon hats,
which means that Britons have bigger heads than Texans.     QED.

But seriously, 1 Imperial gallon = 1.2 US gallons, give or take a thinbleful.
