The 95% one wasn't because of that, it was a rather long running volcano
line that raised the CO2 levels enough to raise the temp 5 degrees, then
with that 5 degrees, all the methane hydrate in the oceans melted and that
cause a raise in temp of another 5 degrees. Just replace that volcano
effect with the sun and our own effect and the possibility is there.
