As I said I pulled out a ECS K7VTA3, Athlon 2200, and put in a ECS 755-A2, Athlon 64 3000. I have not done an install of OS/2 for a long time. I just clone the old machine on to the new and tweek the drivers. I do the same with Win98, but I may do a reinstall just to clean out the trash. With OS/2, I know where the pieces are. With Win they are too scattered for me to find. I put the old MB back and returned the machine to duty and started over. I put the new MB in a simple case with two FDD, two HDD - both master - and a rather old CD burner, and a PS2 KB and PS2 trackball- A4 WWT-5E, I have several, they work fine, even the scroll wheels in OS/2. DRDOS and Win98SE seem OK. OS/2 has no access to the desk top; no cursor, and tab and arrow keys do nothing. CAD works. While booted from DOS: PM6 says error #100, "Partition table is bad", and closes. PM3 runs and says check failed for all FAT16 and 32 partitions, HPFS OK. DFSEE seems happy. I had it create new MBR for both drives. No change to above. Ray ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> $9.95 domain names from Yahoo!.
