Ouch that sucks man.  I've always built my own too although companies seem way
more competitive in price now than they used to be so it is tempted to go for
the prefab.

Shipping back is a pain.  I had a video card die not all that long ago and I
had to ship it back.  It wasnt too bad, but still like $20 which was annoying.
I don't even want to ask how much it was to ship a desktop back!
