     I did, and they didn't advise me of any conflicts, which I was very 
disappointed about.  I went back a few days ago to the same store, and they 
said they were very surprised at that, and that they in fact often keep a 
male betta in their Zebra Danio tank when they have some.

     I'm not terribly impressed with the fish from that store, so I won't 
likely get more from there.  My pleco that I bought from there a few weeks 
ago just died with no explanation - see my next message asking about that.  
     So the bottom line is, if I want another male betta (and I do), I need 
to get rid of the Zebra Danios, or separate them?
