ahhh, so spock is the web server? hummm... i know that i've run wingate in
the past and it did a good job... a friend of mine used it and mapped ports
to other boxes so that folk on the 'net could get to things on the inside
on different machines... from the outside, it all looked like it was all on
one machine... because wingate is a proxy, you just have to be careful what
you allow to be done as hackers are always looking for proxies that they
can use to jump to other sites with...

yes, a router that can do port mapping (i prefer the term "port
relaying" instead) would go a long way... there are some pretty decent
ones available, so i hear... and not really all that expensive, AIR... i'm
guessing maybe $100US or less... linksys and dlink are ones that come to
mind...
