It's always served me well.
Freshly diagnosed operable cancer is usually dealt with the same week at no
charge. My diabetes hasn't cost me a penny.
About a year ago a friend's father (well over 70) was diagnosed with a
small tumour inside the inner ear. He was operated on three days later in
Milton Keynes hospital. AFter four days he was allowed home, but since he
lives alone they wanted him looking after for a bit. I collected him, and
drove him to his daughter's in Sheffield.- a hundred miles or more. The
hospital, BTW, was immaculate.
When he went in to a local nurse to get his staples removed, they called
Milton Keynes to confirm the procedure. The surgeon called back to check
on his progress.
He's fitter than ever and still hopping around.
