Hello Will,
Replying to a message of Will Honea to Alec Herrmann:
WH> Simple question for you re. NT. How do you get Internet Explorer,
WH> Mail, etc. to pick up the TCPIP linkage? I can dial and logon fine
WH> but I can't get apps to link in.
I have not yet played around with the TCP/IP stuff in Win NT so I can not
help you there at this time.
WH> Have you evaluated system speed yet? I'm seeing significant speed
WH> advantages with Warp Server, but that may be just our setup. -!-
If you are wondering if Warp Server (or Warp 4) runs faster than Win NT on
the same box here (Pentium Pro with 64MB) - I have not done any subjective
tests yet. IMHO both seem to be fairly responsive and do not normally cause
the user to wait for something to happen.
Regards, Alec
