Hi Sean,

SG>> The latest structures can't be released until sometime after the
 SG>> next public release.

SD> Oh, that's fine-as long as I get a general idea. The real reason I
SD> asked was that a friend of mine, Mike Dillon, is rewriting Alexi/Mail
SD> (not sure if you've ever heard of it). A/M is a multi-platform,
 SD> multi-OS tosser/packer/areafix/autopost/gating software and he was
SD> interested in looking at Ezy's structures.

Nope, not heard of it but it certainly sounds interesting.

SD> I was interested in case I wanted to write one of my own little utils
SD> or something. I write in Pascal too (I write Cheepware, my little
SD> line of BBS doors and utils).

I know. I joined the fdn but so far have only received only one file
in it. :)

SG>> The development team thanks you. :)

SD> Oh, well, thank you. :) Now that I've figured out HOW to set my
SD> message reading commands right (I was using the echo flags instead of
SD> the actual group numbers), now I can get all of my mail, heh. BTW,
SD> GoldEd works wonderfully with Ezy.

Certainly does. I use it on the odd occasion.

SG>> It never seems to end, does it.

SD> No. I'm a sucker for punishment, it seems, but now, to set up a
SD> message network, it's terribly easy...

Will be even easier to manage message areas in the next release but
don't tell anyone I told you. ;)

SG>> I was told you were using Os2 but no matter, I'll _deal_ with Patrick
SG>> later. ;) I've tested it on my WinXPP (NTFS) and so far it seems to
SG>> work ok except I found that environment variables are case sensitive.

SD> Well, I was running OS/2, but for personal reasons, I switched back
SD> over to W2K. I have Ezy on a FAT partition because for some reason,
SD> when I tried to load up the filebases with EZYADOPT, Ezy would keep
SD> looping, filling as many empty filebase slots as it could and just
SD> hang. I'm still at a loss as to why, but it works now, so that's all
 SD> I'm worried about. :)

What were the cmd line options you used?

SD> I only wish I'd discovered Ezy years ago.

:)

SD> I have a rather bad reputation for switching software (I've run
SD> well over 20 packages), but now, thankfully, no more. :)

I didn't try that many but certainly a lot before discovering Ezycom.

Cheers ...
