It appears to be due to the depth of the message base in AVT. On my REPs,
which usually have a mix of messages to AVT and others, its the AVT ones
which are noticeably slow, a second or so for each message. Not with the
messages to other areas tho.
I realise that the message base in AVT has been very deep for a long
time now and that the slow tossing of the REP is quite recent. In other
words whatever change you made lately, presumably stopping running under
EXEC, has caused a noticeable increase in the tossing time to a deep
message base.

Pretty sure it was well after that.
On a separate note, the DrDebug has behaving strangely. 3 days a while
ago, 10 days or so, we no mail, most unusual. Then a burst of mail in
one QWK, something like you would expect from the 3 days volume, now its
been even longer with no mail, must be over 5 days now. Maybe there has
been some change in the overseas link which is getting DrDebug tho and
there is no particular significance in it. If it keeps up being odd I
will get it from the Madhouse again for a while and see if there is some
obvious pattern there.
AM> BTW, not much mail today. Know why?
PE> This sucks, but that's life.
Life sucks, and then you die |-)
