Personally I don't like the constant need to be "connected" just to work on a
personal document. But, the online Google Docs and Sheets has been handy when
I need to share a file that is progressing or needs updates.
The yearly fee for MS Office365 was a real turn-off for me.
We certainly have a lot of options these days.
