Hello Joe!

08 Aug 04 13:44, you wrote to me:

No Scotts simply reacted to having the mountain piled upon him..

 JD> That is you.

So far I only see 3 people bitching about it..

JD> That is you. Like Robert said, it doesnt hurt anything, but asking
JD> politely is the key here. Saying that you are going to do so

Take a look for yourself

ross{at}Easternstar:~> host f10.n134.z1.nl.sysgod.org
f10.n134.z1.nl.sysgod.org is an alias for madmail.ods.org.
madmail.ods.org has address 137.186.254.168

ross{at}Easternstar:~> host madmail.ods.org
madmail.ods.org has address 137.186.254.168

Robert

ross{at}Easternstar:~> host f2000.n229.z1.nl.sysgod.org
f2000.n229.z1.nl.sysgod.org is an alias for hub2000.darktech.org.
hub2000.darktech.org has address 24.102.43.148

I dont see anything different except one is an alias and one is not..

The ones that are not aliases are publically listed in the Fidonet Nodelist.

Its not like they are wanting their addresses concealed..

Now there is no way anything published that I know of that will compel
others to try to contact Mike or Robert via the aliasing setup at Scotts
system, but there is their own published info..

The info Scott uses is sucked straight out of the Fidonet nodelist..

I also note that the argus and binkd.txt files publishes DNS info sucked
out of the nodelist, SCott produces the argus/radius one (thanks Scott),
Jerry Schwartz does binkd.txt..

Maybe Scott and Robert should deman that their listings be removed from
those files too?

 >> Of course had Scott not said anything, no one would be any wiser..

JD> Perhaps. Most people would not be, but some certainly would know.

Well you have to present the query to sysgod.org and know to do so or know
the format..

 >> JD> Sorry but I dont agree with tactics like that.

JD> It only turned to fist slamming after Scott egged him on by refusing
 JD> to even listen.

As a former, or at least I like to think so, hothead myself, I can see why
Scott isnt inclined to listen.. Its that honey and vinegar thing again.. :)
