From: "Gregg Nemesure"
Now that I have the monitor, I can comment on it.
Text is crystal clear and white background is very bright. Geometry and
color convergence are perfect, as expected. It also appears not to have any
bad pixels, which would have annoyed the hell out of me. However, there are
some disappointments, which I did not expect in the "higher end"
display I got.
The 170/170 viewing angle is bs. You begin to see fuzziness and color
distortion at about 45 degrees from center in any direction.
There are also visible artifacts I guess having to do with display speed
that appear when you move windows around. Especially white text on black
background as you would see in a default command prompt window flickers and
looks bad when moving the window. The drag rectangle on the desktop
flickers when dragging, which I did not see on the regular CRT. This seems
to depend on the desktop color.
Light gray backgrounds show a faint amount of snow as one would see on a
television with bad reception. This is also dependent on background color.
I expect this would disappear with digital video connection, but why
doesn't this appear on a regular CRT?
