Roe v Wade was a landmark and much respected case back in 1973 when it arrived
and that is still the case today.

Why not leave the decision with a woman and her doctor?

I doubt states want to take on the issue of abortion and try to write laws that
will not be appropriate in all situations a woman may find herself in.
