Hi Deb,
I can assume that I have no one to test this weekend at the Ability
Center so I have let them know that so the building can be used for
other reason. If someone were to materialize, I think I could find a
place there to do it. With a only a person or two, I would not need much
room. I will go ahead and send in the bill for the performance I did.
I was going to send in for both the performance and written at the same
time.
Do you still have the video tapes on the number systems in ASL. If so,
I would like to have you send them to me at your convience if you don't
mind. I would like to see them as I feel that is one area that I have
had no training and up until now have not seen a lot of need. Now I do.
Let me know if that is ok with you and I will send you money for
postage. I would get them back to you quickly.
My lst questions is about the performance tests. At our last OCRID, a
lady is concerned about the legislation that is going though since she
feels she can not be tested in her skill area. She is very fluent in
SEE signs. So I said I would talk to you and see what she can do. If
she takes the performance test, will they take in to consideration that
she is using SEE signs. Are there any other options open to her? Let
me know and I will pass the information on to her. She is very set in
her ways and agrued with all of us at the OCRID district meeting about
the advantages of SEE. I was presenting at the meeting so I tried to
diplomatically handle the questions and agruements from her. She then
called me at home and it continued. So I said that I would get in touch
with RID and let her know what they said. SOOO, what do you say :->
Talk later,
Jamie
