Hi Jon,
About six months back my ISP was having major problems with their mail
servers, and occasionally I had to wait many minutes to even get
authenticated, using Mozilla Mail, but exiting that and using OS/2-eCS
Telnet, I got connected instantly! :-)
Luckily the ISP hasn't blocked off telnet here! :-)
It was usually just one SPAM message that was causing the problem -
usually hanging in the middle of reception of the message, with very
high CPU usage. :-(
