(Continued from previous message) RS> implys that 8% of say CBD office workers would go by bike to work. IMO RS> it would never get within a bulls roar of that in a place like Sydney RS> even if you did everything the biking trendoids wanted. AW>> Walking and swimming superficially provide viable alternatives. RS> Nothing superficial about it. Many medical people believe they are RS> better alternatives to bike riding. I've just had a look, and I've still got 4 others on this subject to reply to. Bugger that for a joke. Sorry but I want to take my bat and ball and go home ;-). I can continue to spend time posting stats, which you will continue to dismiss as bodgy and unrepresentative. Or you will suggest that 'many medical specialist disagree' without being more specific. It's wearing me down, like I imagine the water torture would. We've had a good exchange of ideas, but we're now stuck on the semantics. I have a feeling we could go on for weeks, with the messages blowing out to 10 at a time. The only reasons I would continue, would be to attempt to convince you of the validity of the argument, which I know won't happen, or to learn a bit from the exchange of ideas, which also won't happen. I simply haven't got the time and energy for this. Sorry. Regards, Alan --- FMail 0.94* Origin: White-point Northern Sydney (3:711/934.3) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
