Word 6.0 is just a memory hog. It asks for lots of memory, and OS/2
gives it what it asks for. OS/2 has to increase the swapfile size in
order to do this.
Solution #1 : Install more RAM on your PC.
Solution #2 : Free up more space on the partition containing your
swapfile.
Solution #3 : Buy a bigger hard disc.
Solution #4 : Replace Word with a wordprocessor that is less memory
intensive. Don't ask me for opinions, because, to be
frank, all of my wordprocessing needs are happily met by
BOXER 7.0 for OS/2.
There's a whole load of options for you to investigate :
Describe for OS/2, Clearlook/2, Ami Pro for OS/2, the word
processor in the Bonus pack ...
