While tripping merrily through the mail, Stephen Dall was overheard
 SD> Yes, I had a 1966 Dynamic 88 425, then a 68 Delmont 88 with the 455
SD> they were FAAAAAAAAST and had pretty good gas milage due to the low
SD> compression 8-1 low RPM engine,
I had a '65 Dynamic 88 ragtop that started life with a 350, but when I
blew the engine replaced it with a 425 out of a '66, yeah it WAS fast,
even with the 6000 lb. curb weight.
SD> I know how you feel about a car, I bought a Ford Tanus, yes spelled
SD> correctly. When I was living in Germany. We called it the silver
SD> bullet, because the body was silver and shot! But it started first
SD> time every time even in the snow. Had a 2000cc engine, big 2bbl and
SD> headers and full gage set up. Drove it for 2 1/2 years.. The best
SD> part was I only paid $50. for it and sold if for parts and made several
SD> times that. It stood up to autobahn speeds with no problems. Even
SD> taught my kids to drive in it on the dirt road around the airstrip.
SD> Hope you find a replacement for "Old Red"
That's the same motor Ford used in the first Pintos. (along with the
English Ford 1600 cc). GOOD Motor! (I had one in my '71)
Don
