I can certainly see where a beginner would want a real good size
manual but, when you come right down to it we who have used modems for a
few years don't really have much need for a manual much bigger than what
USR ships at this time with the Sportsters. I don't believe I have
refered to the Sportster manual in at least a couple of years. Since
the Sportster is such a popular modem, most if not all of the
communications programs out now, will give you a decent init string to
work with. Which appears to be one thing that people seem to have the
most problems with.
