subject: Change by NAME?

MM> In the 1.7x (at least) versions of Opus CBCS,
MM> one could change message and file areas by either
MM> number or NAME. Has anyone ever implemented something..
GM> why do you want to do that? Isn't it just as easy to type in
GM> either one or the other? I'd imagine that most people would
GM> get used to typing either the names OR the numbers, and if
GM> they only have one choice, well..
Opus would also do name-guessing. If the area name were "Utilities"
and you typed in UTIL it would look at its area list and dump you into the
closest match instead of reporting "Not found" or the like. It made a serious
effort to be sure that where you wanted to go did not exist... :-)
GM> The best way to do it would be to create duplicate file
GM> areas..
Thanks for the ideas, it is appreciated.
Mark
