JONATHAN DE BOYNE POLLARD had something deep to write about Virus Alert! JP> To make HPFS unrecoverable, I once managed to mangle the partition table on a SCSI-II drive, but I had help from an out of date *.add file and HA BIOS chips. Even booted from the floppy disks, OS/2 denied that I even had a hard drive. After a low-level format, everything was beautiful. (I did have a backup) JP> And the evidence shows that JP> they are far too difficult to write for the average virus writer, who JP> obviously prefers the ease and lack of protection of DOS. That and the much larger field of potential victims. * KWQ/2 1.2g * I though I was buying inexpensive, but all I got was cheap. --- QScan v1.14b / 01-0093* Origin: La Cantina BBS * El Paso * 915-532-0332 6GB, 3 Nodes (1:381/123) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 430 SEEN-BY: 711/807 808 809 934 942 949 712/353 515 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 381/123 900 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 808 809 934 |
