Are you sure that there's no BINARY content at the beginning of that
TEXT file? Looked at in in HEX?
Like a CTRL-D character [0x04] that used to stuff up printing from
Windoze to Laserprinters on the network, when I still worked [in the
Weather Bureau]
When you say 'tried", what does that mean exactly?
*Here*, when I RMB on the Spooler, the bottom item on the menu says
"Disable Spooler" - clicking that, the print jobs go direct to the
printer. Another RMB on the Spooler then shows that item as "Enable
Spooler".
