Hello Tom -

CA>>> Speaking of GM is it true that oen rating service rated
CA>>> theri Bonds as "JUNK"??

CA>> I've read something about that but it's a red herring. GM
CA>> is trying to renegotiate medical benefits for it's
CA>> retirees and wants to look 'poor' for the negotitiations.
CA>> When they have stolen back as much as possible from the
CA>> retirees watch GM stock jump afterwards. Probably a 30% or
CA>> more gain almost immediately.

TW> OK that makes some sense. Although the US division of GM
TW> has been hurt by teh great popularity of the Foregin cars.

I don't see a GM automobile I would be willing to pay for. The
so-called 'styling' is at the level of a 12 year old scribbling
with a crayon IMO.

TW> OF course their Overseas divisions do quite well but they
TW> are Hidden by yhe Bean counters so the US group have to
TW> rise or fall on their own.

It is also true that GM, Ford, and Chrysler own a good sized
chunk of those same Japanese automobile companies.
