My Pascal vendor has been Borland for several years now. But Borland is not
interested in developing Pascal for OS/2. Even if they became interested,
chances are the Pascal dialect would be non-standard. This is the primary
reason I am searching for an "Extended Pascal" compiler for OS/2 that
utilizes the System Object Model (SOM) to implement its Objects.

Borland Pascal specifies a syntax for Borland's own Object Model which uses
VIRTUAL/STATIC/DYNAMIC methods, PUBLIC/PRIVATE attributes, and INHERITED
Objects. Borland's Turbo Assembler 3.2 implements compatible Objects too.

So basically, I need to know the latest details about the OS/2 version 3.0
SOM. The User's Guide to OS/2 Warp indicates the "Workplace Shell
Programming Guide/Reference" books are available from IBM. Unfortunately,
the Guide is not available. It is supposed to describe SOM, Workplace Shell
classes and methods, and how to create object-oriented applications for the
OS/2 desktop. Currently, I have old documentation from the Internet
describing the SOM for OS/2 version 2.1 which has surely changed by now. Any
information about the latest OS/2 SOM or interfacing to it would be greatly
appreciated.

... Put on your seatbelt, I want to try something..
