some do. yes. you can't, other than through the standard interface.

i don't know which cards' driver sources are available, but the
straight-out fastest way to do lines is add your own MASM 6.x code to
the regular driver and call it from OS/2, putting as much burden on the
driver code as possible and minimizing your calls down. you might want
to have any part of your OS/2 program calling such services as 16-bit.
IMO, this is totally impractical. It locks you into one model of card,
and video cards change radically every 6 months. You need the driver
source and the chip manual for the accelerator on the video card.
Calling existing driver services will not appreciably help you over PM
calls, since these are generic and lose efficiency getting mapped onto
the hardware.
