Ronnie,
The longest Air Force flight I made was on a C-141 from Osan, Korea to
Tokyo. 4 hours as I remember. It was brutal. Cold, noisy, and the seats
were designed by the Marquis de Sade.
But flying from Australia to the US commercial is brutal as well (even in
Business Class, I can't imagine doing it on a military plane. At least when
the USAF shipped my young butt to Korea from the US and back it was on a
commercial charter. A stretch DC8, the absolute worst commercial jet to
ever fly, but at least there were stewardesses, the seats reclined a bit
and the temperature was high enough to melt ice cubes ;->
