From: "Dave Ings" From (registration required): http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=%2Fnews%2F2002%2F12%2F31%2Fnb ody31.xml Vivien Neves, the first nude model to appear in The Times, has died aged 54. She had been suffering from multiple sclerosis for more than a decade. Miss Neves, who was known as The Body at the height of her modelling career in the 1970s, died in Guildford, Surrey, after contracting pneumonia. Her appearance in a full-page advertisement in The Times in 1971, which came after the chemicals company Fisons bought all the display advertising space to promote its products, was seen as the start of a revolution in attitudes to public nudity. -- Regards, Dave Ings, Toronto, Canada "Jeff Shultz" wrote in message news:vd141v8u9gqnud21nqq6l8acruo7q9dnco{at}4ax.com... > On Mon, 30 Dec 2002 10:00:39 +0100, Phil Payne > wrote: > > >Of MS, complications, and possibly MRSA. > > > >The famous 1971 picture is at: > > > >http://www.thesun.co.uk/picture/0,,2002600670,00.jpg > > Okay, I googled for her, but other than a link to an old 80's BBC TV > show, there doesn't seem to be any info. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-4* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/1.45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/1 633/267 |
