subject: Fast line drawing

Ok, here's my situation: I'm writing a 3D modeller to run under PM, and
I'm trying to decide whether to use PM's graphics functions, or roll my
own. My question is, how efficient are PM's Gpi functions, specifically
GpiLine, in light of the fact that it supports a billion and one raster
operations, as well as a variety of line styles. Is there a faster way to
generate lines? I may have to go with my own line drawing routine through
DIVE, though I don't have the docs yet. Do the device drivers for video
cards implement line drawing routines, and if so, are they fast (probably)
and how does one access them? I'm going to use Gpi functions in the
interm, but I would appreciate it if anyone could point me down a faster
path.

Thanks,
Michael Duffy

... Sorry, I don't do Windows.
