About three days ago, it was very clear and sunny and each of the 
transcontinental planes passing overhead left a vapor trail. Until noon all 
these trails were westbound and side by isde evenly spaced from overhgead to 
the southeren horizon. Then shortly after lunch the trails were fewer but 
still evenly spaced trails south to north. I was struck with the graphic 
image of the amount of overhead traffic and how much it varied with time of 
day.
