even when programming, most anything in column 80 automatically advances to
the next line... this is why, depending on the method of placement, most
stuff only drawn out to column 79 leaving room for the cursor to hit column
80 without the automatic admancement to the next line... this is extremely
common... it also affects row 25 when you get out there to column 80 and
then advancement to the next line also causes everything to scroll up a
line...
