If one of your IGMs uses maint.bat, that is probably the cause. LORD 4.02
forward has a "hissy fit" whenever you use maint.bat. Does not
matter what is inside, once Lord runs maint.bat, it always says that
Player.dat was corrupted, and was repaired. Then it shuts down/crashes.
There is an internal pause, so the program just sits there until the sysop
deals with it.

Only way to avoid it that I know of, is to forego usage of ANY IGM that has
to run in maint.bat. Have discussed matter with Michael last month, and he
is looking into it. But he could not tell me when he would be able to do
anything in Lord 4.07 to change things. There is one other way to avoid
the situation. But it means you have to use only Seth's versions of Lord
and deal with the peculiar way some of the versions behave on-screen after
you've patched them for RTE200. Donald.
