PT> Now, regarding OWL! The documentation seems good, although screen PT> shots clearly demonstrate Window apps. I compiled an example with PT> a toolbar and a status bar object and boy, this thing is PT> SLOOOOOOOWWWWW! The window with the standard menu appear and 2 or 3 PT> secs later, the toolbar and the status is showing up! This on a PT> 486DX50 with 16megs of RAM! That's unfortunate. On the subject of class libs, I know of one that's about to enter alpha test, and was wondering if anyone here would like to take a look at it and possibly provide some feedback on it. It's not cross-platform. It's designed to be small and simple to use, programs linked with it are as fast as programs written directly to the PM API, and it provides a C++ interface to every PM window type, plus threads, the help engine, etc. Anyone seeing this that's interested, let me know here or via netmail. --- X KWQ/2 1.2g NR X Mephisto...Lucifer...Beelzebub...Satan...Samhain...Gates. --- Maximus/2 2.02* Origin: OS/2 Shareware BBS, Fairfax, VA: 703-385-4325 (1:109/347) SEEN-BY: 12/2442 620/243 624/50 632/348 640/820 690/660 711/409 410 413 430 SEEN-BY: 711/807 808 809 934 942 949 712/353 515 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 109/347 2 7 3615/50 229/2 12/2442 711/409 808 809 934 |
