My ex was hauling a load of hay in my 3/4-ton pickup when a woman in a
Malibu (70/80-something model, I think) pulled out in front of him. He
t-boned her. She didn't have her seatbelt on, and he said he could see her
panties as she flew up and across into the passenger door headfirst.
Totalled her car and put her in the hospital with head and neck injuries.
Dented my fender and bumper and broke the headlight, and he had a scratch
on his stomach where his belt buckle dug into him as the seat belts held.
He drove it on home.

I was driving the same truck and got hit from behind once by some kind of
big Dodge car. I was sitting in a line of traffic when he ran into me.
The impact my rear bumper off, and I got whiplash where my head snapped
back (pre-headrests). The car's radiator was shoved back into its block,
and the guy who hit me was limping around pretty bad. I had the wrecker
guy toss my bumper up into the bed of the truck and was able to drive home
but ended up in the dr's office first thing the next morning when I
couldn't move my head or shoulder when I got up.

That truck had a HIT-ME sign on it, I swear - I think it got hit about 4
times in the 7 years I owned it. The wreck with the load of hay warped the
frame enough that it never drove right after that. I sold it not too long
after that wreck for nearly as much as I paid for it.
