KW> I'd like to see an ANSI emulation that doesn't rely on ANSI.SYS - Actually with Max 3.01, ANSI detection does work. Noticed that when I called my son's W95 Bink/Max BBS from my Bink NT setup. I didn't have ansi enabled with NT, when Max 3.01 (DOS) came up, it gave me a not about not detecting ANSI, and put me in full glowing black and white. Don't know about Bink os/2 or Bink DOS, but ansi detection seems to work ok with Bink NT and Max 3.01 DOS. KW> There's a glitch in using ANSI emulation as a VT102 - it mostly With Bink DOS, you could kick it into DOORWAY mode with the ALT + = Key. That gave Bink a pretty good ANSI/IBM-PC keyboard emulation, that worked quite well with MAX and most other BBS packages making thier full screen editors much easier to use. I miss not having that "feature" in the 32 bit versions of Binkley. Over the years I found it quite useful. Hope someday it gets put back into the 32 bit versions of Bink. --- Maximus/NT 3.01b1* Origin: Win NT/Bink/Maximus 28,800bps (1:303/1) SEEN-BY: 50/99 157/534 620/243 622/419 623/630 625/100 626/660 665 667 668 SEEN-BY: 626/670 633/2 640/820 711/401 409 410 413 416 430 501 808 809 934 SEEN-BY: 711/955 712/515 713/888 714/906 800/1 @PATH: 303/1 100 3615/50 396/1 157/110 534 626/660 711/401 808 934 |
