IIRC so was Bob Newhart.
MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
Title: Spam - Unnamed From Bob Gearhart
Categories: Spam
Yield: 1 Serving
1 ea Head cabbage, cut in real
-big chunks
5 md Potatoes quartered, you can
-peel if you want
1 lg Onion chopped coarse
1 ea Can corned beef
1 ea Can spam
1 ea Salt, pepper*
* and other stuff you might want to put in. Don't get to carried away
though, the canned corn beef stuff has a great flavor when diluted by
water and mixed with cabbage.
Dump it all together after opening the cans, leave out the cans. The
spam stuff is better if cubed, but then if left whole you can later
pass it around stuck on the end of a fork for individual biting. (I
haven't tried this yet, but it sounds cool, sorta fondueish.) Cover
with water, season, bring to a boil, turn heat down to simmer and do
so for about 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
