My boss was getting his ass kicked in the mens' washroom one day. I pulled the
attacker off him, and then I did the same for a customer who was invovled
in the same brawl. When it was all over, my boss pretended like it never
happened. He's an Iraq war veteran and that incident was a threat to his
reputation.

How is it possible for an Iraqi war veteran to be such a terrible fighter? I'm
an overweight computer nerd, with few fighting experiences, and I rescued 2
people like it was nothing. I didn't even break a sweat. I'll assume that
sometimes these war veterans come home & get lazy, and they're no longer doing
their push-ups.

But regarding butt-kissing, there are certain jobs where it becomes necessary,
because coworkers will do anything they can to keep a person down if he/she
doesn't suck up like the rest. They use it as an opportunity to attack. "Hey
boss, non butt-kisser forgot his badge."
