Hello Paul!

AW>> You know I completely screwed up my fmail config file and

AW>> my messagebase on the weekend, simply by removing some wait

AW>> states from my AMI setup. The system managed to hang whilst

 AW>> re-writing the messagebase after maintenance. Wouldn't

AW>> happen with happy little trouble-free QWK packets would it?

PE> I bet you had lazy write on too. Would have happened with any application

PE> you use that on. If you copy your inbound packets into a temporary

PE> directory (which you delete every day), you can reget your daily mail. I

PE> actually do this myself for 30 days! Sure is good at beating people at

 PE> arguments! BFN.

Inbound packets are now copied into \fd\oldmail for safeties sake.

I don't know why you do 30 days worth yourself, since your msgbase

should contain at least that many days worth.

Regards, Alan
