If it didn't work for you, then you most likely had altered something,
forgotten to set PATH and ETC in your AUTOEXEC.BAT, or forgotten to
configure or start the OS/2 side of TCP/IP.
This *definitely* works, because I've watched developers testing WINSOCK
applications on OS/2 boxes where TCP/IP for OS/2 (from OS/2 Warp
Connect) had been installed.
I had to remind them to set ETC in their AUTOEXEC.BAT as well ... (-:

No it is not. Trumpet WINSOCK does not forward the TCP/IP requests to
the OS/2 TCP/IP drivers, and so interferes with the operation of the
OS/2 TCP/IP drivers.

There's also the Secure Web Explorer from IBM. There are part numbers
and prices all over the place for it. I'm surprised that you had
difficulty getting hold of it.
