In my case, I think that the batteries I use are actually intended for
scooters, motor cycles, small mowing/garden machines and such, as starter
batteries, but since their life span is 7 - 8 years in my UPS, they'll do

There's only a small hitch, the "Abiko" connectors on the batteries, are
narrower than the original, but the wider female connectors on the leads
seem to make enough contact.

I may have bought the first replacement battery from the UPS supplier,
but even the replacement had those narrower poles.
