G'day Andrew!
AL> Binkley's terminal isn't really intended for a serious BBS caller.

fairy snuff, but in the other corner I've got FroDo which fills all my
comms requirements, SLIP/PPP aside obviously... :)
I just don't see the point in ignoring the development of half the
programme. I know I'm being a tad simple here; but with two modes, one of
which is the terminal, that equals half in my books. It's there, and it
could a lot better, but it isn't. `Nuff said...
TW>> It's the second major reason why I won't touch Bink. The first is
TW>> OS/2 related...
AL> I'd like to know why you say that, considering that Binkley was the
AL> FIRST mailer to release an OS/2 native version.
I meant I hadn't found an OS/2 native tosser/BBS combo, and the other
associated toys, that were to my satisfaction. I don't like Squish/Max, and
haven't found any others that function suitably at the "right"
price.
The exception to this was a nodelist compiler called ZParse. Easy to
configure, zippy as hell, worked beautifully. `tis probably the main reason
I continue to investigate OS/2 natives... This probably shows how skewed my
priorities are... :)
As it stands, if I were to switch to BT32, I'd have to find a term package,
as well as all the other toys. `tis not an attractive "upgrade"
when I'm not unhappy with a FroDo/DOS based OS/2 setup...
have fun
"What would you say if I offered you mastery
of the galaxy?" ... "Oh, I would say thank you."
