The problem is not the CPU(s). The problems are chipset and BIOS
related. Chipset and BIOS incompatibilies with OS/2 surface at a higher
rate with non-Intel chipsets. Just because someone says a particular
motherboard/chipset/BIOS works for him doesn't mean it will work as well
for everyone. Different hardware combinations pose different challenges.
The more slots you populate, the higher the risk of some problem. Going
Intel simply reduces this risk some. It doesn't eliminate it.
