In a message dated , Wim Veldhuis wrote to Robert King: WV> What you mean you want a program that can detect all possible WV> virusses and WV> clean them. I think this is an unrealistic view of life. There is NO WV> program which will forfill that, not under DOS and not under OS/2. WV> Still WV> there are pretty good virus programs for OS/2. No, what I mean is I expect people who produce such scanner/cleanup tools ¨to keep on their toes. Norton(Symantec) was the ONLY company to produce a ¨scanner/cleaner that detects Frankenstein. Of the dozen or so anti-virus ¨makers out there only one? Think about it. If Symantec can do it, why can't ¨Central Point? Why can't McAfee? Why can't IBM? Since this virus has been ¨around at least a year (according to Symantec) it would seem the rest would ¨have found and programmed for it by now...
