I leave that machine off for days at a time and it boots right up with the correct time. However, just pulling the PCI video card out and putting it right back in glitches the cmos. Nothing else misbehaves and besides it's not really a problem if the card is left in right?!... Just curious. I was guessing it had something to do with PnP programming on the card itself being lost and that the PCI buss has a line running to the cmos supply? Alternatively maybe the PCI slots set an ID bit in a flipflop of the MB support LSI and pulling out the card clears it telling it to check for new equipment at the next bootup? Mike **** ...
