Perhaps you could try an Os/2 program or Rexx Addin Function which
would open the pipe for you. Then you can read and write to it
from a DOS VDM. I believe I saw a Rexx Demo called Server.cmd which
opened a named pipe for use by other programs. I have successfully
read from an OS/2 named acknowledged pipe using a DOS VDM written
in GWBasic. The Rexx Server is easy to start. Try locating a copy of
RxUtils package. This could work?
